We learned valuable lessons from each of our four positions. We worked for four different employers and had to adapt to their different expectations. We managed large estates and also worked in smaller family homes. We experienced the highs of working with respectful employers, but also the lows of burnout, dismissal, and the challenges of preparing for an employment tribunal.

As the live-in under-butler/cook, this position meant wearing white gloves and suits. It required professionalism, with a focus on protocol and standards.
